Where do I find this?
Sidebar > Settings > Domain (Pro; owner only, or platform admin for domain changes where applicable)
Step by Step
- 1Open 'Settings' > 'Domain' (Pro). Your default site URL (`/w/...`) is shown at the top
- 2Choose a mode: **Buy a domain** (check availability and purchase), **Redirect an external domain** (instructions to point your domain at the Weddy URL at your registrar), or **Connect a domain** (attach your hostname to this wedding)
- 3When connecting: enter the hostname (no `https://` or `www.` — it is normalized) and connect
- 4Set the DNS records as shown (A and CNAME; values match the project). Copy buttons help paste into your DNS panel
- 5The page loads DB data first; status sync runs after load — 'Verified' only when the host confirms DNS is correct (not from stale settings alone)
- 6While pending: use 'Check again' or keep the tab open (background checks). Propagation can take hours
- 7After verification, the site is reachable on your domain; SSL is provisioned
Tips
- Only the wedding owner can connect or remove a domain (platform admins may assist where allowed)
- If loading feels slow: wait — requests time out instead of spinning forever
- DNS target values may change; always use the values shown in Weddy
