Step by Step
- 1Go to 'Planning' > 'Seating & Room Planner'
- 2Create a floor plan or pick a room template for quick start
- 3Configure the room: dimensions, unit (m/ft), grid, background (color or image)
- 4Drag tables from the palette (round, rectangle, oval, half-round, chair row) or use presets
- 5Drag room elements like dance floor, buffet, bar, stage, wedding arch, entrance, etc. onto the canvas
- 6Use layout tools: align, distribute, smart guides, snap-to-grid, group (Ctrl+G)
- 7Switch to Assign mode: drag guests from the panel onto seats
- 8Optional: Define seating rules (together/apart) in the rules panel
- 9Auto-save is active (Pro plan); export as PNG or print via the print suite
- 10Keyboard shortcuts: press ? in the toolbar for the full list
Tips
- Free/Basic/Standard: Playground mode (view & try, no saving) – upgrade to Pro for full access
- Table types: round, rectangle, oval, half-round, and chair row – each with capacity presets
- 15+ room elements: dance floor (round/square), buffet, cake, stage, bar, DJ booth, photo booth, gift table, wall, tree, hedge, wedding arch, entrance with door hinge + custom SVG/icons
- Print suite (Assign mode): poster, table cards, place cards, lists – in 4 design templates (classic, modern, elegant, minimal)
- Seating rules: define 'must sit together', 'cannot sit together', 'same table', 'different tables' – violations are flagged
- Layout pro tips: Ctrl+C/V/X to copy, Ctrl+G to group, Shift+arrows for big moves, array clone for patterns
- Measure tool for exact distances; layers panel for z-order; minimap for large rooms
- Multiple floor plans via the room switcher in the toolbar; export seating list as CSV
